Hi, I’m John, and I’ve lived in Mosier, OR, since 2013. I love the Gorge, and I love helping people. If you run a small business or organization in the Gorge, maybe I can help you.

I’m what you call an IT generalist. I just never developed a particular expertise, and have done project management, change management, coding, QA, production support, technical writing, and more. I’m used to looking at the big picture of work processes. I think that gives me an advantage when it comes to understanding how small businesses and organizations run, and being able to help them.

I don’t provide support for computers, networks, devices, and so on. I figure there are other people and companies that are better at it than I am.

What I think I’m best at is improving the way small businesses and organizations use software.
• Maybe you want a calendar on your website that the public can submit events for, that you review before deciding to publish or not.
• Maybe you want a better way than email to manage the messages people send through your website’s forms (email’s good for communicating, but it sucks for managing work and information).
• Maybe you want a better way to collaborate with people in other places than emailing files back and forth or sticking them in a Cloud site.

That sort of thing.
