Whatever work you want me to do, here’s how I handle it: we take it step by step, and at each step, you decide how much you want to spend, and we agree on what I’ll do for that money. That minimizes your financial risk, and makes it easy to pause or stop if you need to.

Make the Most of Your Current Software

You put time and thought into choosing the software to use – and you’re probably paying for it. Since software makers introduce new features over time, your current software may be able to do more for your organization.

This is usually the quickest, cheapest option. It also won’t usually make as much of a difference as the options below – but every case is unique.

You tell me which software you want to take a look at, and what you’re currently doing with it. Maybe there are features you know it has, that you’re specifically interested in. I’ll do the research, document what I find, and go over it with you.

Then you decide what you want to do. Maybe you’re up for implementing it yourself, maybe you want help with that. I can also create user documentation to make it easier for new employees to get going.

Switch to More Effective Software

No one sets out to use ineffective or frustrating software. But a lot can happen after you settle on using a particular program.

Maybe the key features you wanted don’t work as well as you thought they would. Maybe the program has gotten buggy. Maybe features that used to be free now cost something. Maybe the user interface design has changed, and the new one is harder to use.

Whatever the reason is, you might want new software that does the same thing the current program does, just better.

I’ll work with you to understand what you like about your current software, what needs it meets, and how it’s causing pain. Then I’ll research alternatives for you, that meet both your practical and financial needs.

Then you decide what you want to do. I can help you migrate between programs, I can do it for you, I can create user documentation – whatever would help you most. All with the goal of keeping the transition as smooth as possible.
